Congratulations to BH-BL High School & BOCES Career & Technical School (CTE) student Liam Picozzi for being among 40 other students from 22 schools across the region who were recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. To be honored, students had to meet several criteria, including earning grade point averages (GPA) of 92 or greater at CTE and an overall GPA of 85 or greater at their high schools, as well as having five or fewer absences. Liam is part of the New Visions Health Careers program.
Congratulations to BH-BL seniors Bradley Albright & Miya Hugaboom for being named top scholars in the Times Union supplement "2018 Scholar Recognition" and to their teachers, Kathryn Perry and Amanda North, whom the students credit with helping them achieve success!
Three more seniors signed their Letters of Intent in a ceremony at the high school this afternoon. Congratulations to the following student athletes who have committed to compete in their sport at a collegiate level: Brittany Katz (tennis at St. Michael's College), Jake Stanko (football at UAlbany), and Alex Turczyn (swimming at LeMoyne College).
The school physician will be available to conduct free sports physicals in the nurse's office on Thursday, May 31 during the school day. This is the last chance to get a school physical before the fall sports season begins. If you are unsure if you need a physical, please visit the school nurse before May 31.
To register for the BH-BL Driver Education summer program, fill out and sign the registration form and return it to the main office by Thursday, June 7 with the course fee. Tuition for the course is $300. Read more about the program.
