Get ready, get set...and go show off your talents in the annual BH-BL Follies being held Friday, April 13 and Saturday, Apriil 14 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Auditions for the Follies are Monday, March 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 27 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the middle school cafetorium.
Congratulations to BH-BL trombonist, Cedric Sirianni, who was selected for the 2018 New York State Band Directors Association Honor Band. The Band was chosen from 450 candidates statewide, representing 80 schools. Cedric will be performing with the Honor Band on Sunday, March 4 as part of the NYSBDA Symposium. Way to go, Cedric!
From today's Daily Gazette: "Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School marked one of the highest graduation rates in the area -- 98 percent -- with just five out of the class' 270 students not graduating in June; two of them graduated in August, lifting the school's graduation rate to 99 percent." Any student planning on participating in a spring sport must see their school nurse to receive a yellow sports clearance form before the first day of tryouts/practice. See the nurse even if you played a winter or fall sport. If you need an updated physical the School Doctor will be offering free sports physicals during the school day at the High School and Middle School on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
